RealWorld Selects DiamondWare for 3D Voice

DiamondWare, a provider of high-definition 3D voice, will provide 3D voice technology for RealWorld, Total Immersion Softwares ultra-realistic, mission rehearsal and training simulator. 3D voice adds the elements of realism and immersion, improving tactical coordination, and providing a simulation of live voice and radio communications in a mission. This is possible because each voice sounds like it comes from the avatar who spoke.  RealWorld, developed by Total Immersion Software under contract to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), delivers an intelligent tool suite providing drag and drop ease in creating simulators so real that it can be used to train teams of professionals to handle complex situations such as military missions, rescue operations, and natural disasters.

Adding 3D voice to RealWorld is going to give trainees an even more immersive and real experience. 3D voice feels very natural in this environment, said Keith Weiner, CEO of DiamondWare. We are very excited to be validated by Total Immersion and DARPA, because it migrates our technology from tactical communications systems to simulators.

The addition of 3D voice exemplifies the flexibility and broad capability of the RealWorld Platform, said Pete Bonanni, CEO of Total Immersion Software. We are very pleased to include the DiamondWare solution as a high value component of our simulation solution.
